The Louding Voice Education and Empowerment Foundation

Our foundation stands as a testament to the belief that education can be the beacon of change for girls trapped in the shadows of domestic labor and gender-based violence in Nigeria.

Education Access

Nigeria has made progress in improving access to education, but challenges persist. In 2018, it was reported that about 10.5 million children were out of school in Nigeria. The barriers to education include factors such as poverty, gender discrimination, and the impact of conflicts in certain regions.

Child Labor

The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that a significant number of children in Nigeria are engaged in child labor. In 2020, it was reported that approximately 43% of children aged 5-14 were involved in child labor. Child labor is prevalent in sectors such as agriculture, domestic work, and informal urban economies.

Gender-Based Violence

Gender-based violence is a pervasive issue in Nigeria. According to a UN Women report, about 30% of women aged 15-49 have experienced physical violence, and 10% have experienced sexual violence. Factors contributing to gender-based violence include cultural norms, economic inequality, and insufficient legal frameworks.
